This period of COLLAGE saw Fasano creating something new with the old. He meticulously worked to reclaim sketches, works and pieces already created, and through cutting them, using wallpaper paste, geso, and joss paper they emerged as a new form. Fasano enjoys the play of notations on the edges and within framed works, a playful gesture towards the viewer as they view the work. These works have a playful almost musical quality, reminiscent of Wassily Kandinsky, The works include Joss paper, graphite pencil, colored pencil, watercolor pencil, Japanese India Ink, wallpaper paste, and geso.
